During a time of my career where I was trying new things, I started doing maker faire demonstrations using the steam bending process to bend wood. The Rassawek Spring Jubilee in Goochland County Virginia allowed for a two day demonstration. So I conceived a piece I could make parts for as my demonstration, and be able to finish construction in a few days following the faire. As I made my jigs that provide the shaping for the steam bent pieces, I tested them so that I had a finished piece for the event. This also provided a sample for people to view so they could better relate to my demonstration. I produced two of these tables on speculation, and they were later sold.
